Who do you keep information about?
We keep information about individuals (adults and young people) who wish to volunteer or engage with the project.
Why do you keep information about me?
We keep information about you if you volunteer or participate in the project so that we can contact you.
We also keep information about individuals you nominate us to contact on your behalf in an emergency, or permission to take part in an activity if you are under 18. We will do this because we have your consent to do so.
We may also keep information that would help us to seek help on your behalf in a medical emergency, we do this with your explicit consent.
Who can see my information?
Staff from the Stockton and Darlington Railway 26 mile Heritage Team can see your information. We may also share it with project partners if they are running an event on our behalf.
How do you store the information you keep about me?
Information is stored in an electronic format on the Council’s secure network.
How long do you keep information about me?
We will keep your information for the duration of the project which is 4 years and 6 months. This information is destroyed securely when we no longer need it.
How did the Council get my personal data?
The information we hold, is information provided by yourself, or if you are a child/young person, the information has been provided by your parent/carer.
What sort of information do you keep?
We may use the following information about you to make sure that we provide you with the right support. We will only use the minimum amount of information necessary to do so and will take every reasonable step to ensure the information is accurate.
Personal data
- Name (participant and emergency contact)
- Date of birth
- Contact details (participant and emergency contact)
Special Categories of personal data
- Data concerning health (for the purposed of seeking assistance in a medical emergency and/or disability.)
