Who do you keep information about?
We keep information about individuals who are making a Highway related claim for compensation.
Why do you keep information about me?
The information we keep allows us to process any claims for compensation relating to Highways. The Local Authority are obliged to process insurance claims in accordance with Civil Procedure Rules.
Who can see my information?
Information is restricted to named individuals with the Economic Growth and Neighbourhood Services department, our insurers Zurich and their solicitors.
How do you store the information you keep about me?
The information is stored within a secure database. Any information that you send us is scanned and is stored within a secure file on our computer network. Information is also stored via Zurich’s online claims enquiry system.
How long do you keep information about me?
We will keep your information for 10 years from the date of the accident/incident. This information is destroyed securely when we no longer need it.

We may use the following information about you to make sure that we provide you with the right service, advice or support.

- Location data
- One or more factors specific to the:-
- physical
