Immigration inspections
People moving to Darlington from outside the EU have to confirm that they are moving into suitable, uncrowded accommodation.
Normally, someone has to act as a sponsor to the person moving into the area and they will be asked by the immigration authority for proof that the property being moved into is suitable.
We can carry out a inspection to show that the property is suitable and:
- meets the minimum housing standard under the Housing Act 2004
- is in a reasonable state of repair
- is big enough for the people already living there and any new arrivals
We charge £150 for an inspection or £200 for a fast-track inspection within five working days (all costs include VAT).
